WHAT ARE METAL POLISHING COMPOUNDS?

Our metal polishing compounds are used with our polishing wheels to increase the efficiency of the wheel while being used during the cutting process. Some are of a coarser consistency and are generally used to remove scratches while others are finer, which lends them to be used to shine and finish your work. They should be applied to the polishing wheels by coating the edges of the wheels as below:

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR POLISHING?

Preparation is almost entirely a matter of sanding. We recommend starting with 180 grit for most wheels and working your way up to 220 and finishing with 400 on a 6-inch sanding disc for a grinder.
